Mice
  • Mice live in attics, crawl spaces, barns, and sheds.
  • They gnaw and damage doors, ceilings, and walls to make their way into buildings and homes.
  • As a result of rodents gnawing on pipes and wires there have been many explosions.
  • They are capable of destroying computer equipment.
  • They are capable of contaminating food from their urine and fur.
  • Mice carry parasites, fleas, ticks, and mites.
  • Deer mice and white footed mice carry the disease Hantavirus, which attacks the kidneys.
  • They also carry Hemorrhagic which attacks lungs.
  • Salmonellas (food poisoning) is associated with food and rodents because rodents live on contaminated food and their feet and feces contain salmonellas. Consequently, they spread the disease to humans.
